If there’s anything you should know about us, it’s that we know how to have a good time, especially if plants are involved! Our 2020 Summer Container Workshop was full of education about all things container design and summer plant care. But, for our 2020 Fall Workshop, we wanted to change up the vibe. In fact, we’d say that this workshop was one of the greatest plant lady parties the world has ever seen!
When Heather starts dreaming, we all take notes. One minute our team was talking about plant availability and container choices and the next, Heather was talking about couches, umbrellas, photo booths, giant wood slab tables, and so much more! That was the moment we knew that this would be a truly one-of-a-kind experience for our community of plant ladies.
We hosted this workshop at Catawba Farms Winery because who doesn’t love hanging out with your girlfriends in a gorgeous vineyard with a glass of wine, playing with plants? This venue was the perfect backdrop for a girls’ day.
We wanted this event to feel relaxed and informal. Those attending were able to come to the event at their convenience and experience each step of the process at their own pace. Our professional team members were onsite to help with everything from drilling holes in the container to choosing the perfect plants to putting the final bits of soil into the finished planter.
Each attendee was able to enjoy a beverage of their choice and create a stunning mixed planter full of plants that would be sure to bring stunning colors and textures to their home’s exterior throughout the fall season. The plant selection included several dwarf ornamental grasses, dwarf cedars, phlox, asters, pansies, ornamental cabbage, and more!
After creating their new planting containers, we encouraged our guests to hang out and stay awhile! Here’s where Heather’s couches, umbrellas, and photo booth really made this a fun day. We wanted to create an event that would educate and empower women to get their hands dirty and connect them with other women who have similar interests. We wanted a space for women to feel safe to be themselves and maybe make a few friends along the way. We think it’s safe to say – mission accomplished.

We’re so blessed by our team of professionals who we get to work with every day! When we talk about having the best party and hanging out with our best friends, these are ours! It hardly feels like work when we’re together. We are so grateful that we were able to spend time together and that our community of Plant Ladies got to know each of our team members a little bit better at this event. You won’t want to miss hanging out with these ladies next time!
