If you’ve been following our community of Those Plant Ladies, you’ll know just how important education is to us. We created this business with a mission to inspire, empower, and educate women of all generations to get their hands dirty.
When we began planning a workshop for our community of plant ladies, we wanted to ensure that everyone would learn and feel connected to other women with similar interests. Basically, we wanted a girls’ day filled with dirt and a beautiful arrangement perfect for the front door, back porch, or anywhere in between!
We got what we were looking for and so much more! Amazing women joined us, bringing their friends and family, for three sessions. Over 50 individuals came out to learn with us and build their very own container of summer annuals and perennials. Our first two sessions sold out completely! One highlight of the day was the sharing of connections and experiences between women. Containers provide a way for young gardeners, experienced gardeners, and everyone in between, to engage. Our hearts were so full watching the smiles and laughs being shared all day long!
Each ticket-holder received a gorgeous black container to fill with annuals and perennials of their choosing. For anyone who wanted assistance while they were plant shopping, our team was there to make suggestions. Our selection of plants was amazing thanks to our sponsoring nurseries! We also had the cutest, personal-sized bags of potting soil provided by Daddy Pete’s Plant Pleaser. Along with their new summer containers, each attendee took home information providing all they needed to know to care for their new plant babies for the rest of the summer! We’ve had many pictures shared with us since the workshop. Let’s just say… the containers are thriving!
If you want to make a container of your own, here are some outdoor planters we love! These selections include small containers and containers tall enough to stand on their own by your front door or anywhere else around your home.
Another way we love to educate is at our landscape sites. We’ve providing opportunities for volunteers to join our crew for installations. This is a chance to really put in the hard work and learn alongside us in the trenches of a real landscaping project. We’ve documented those landscape designs and installation projects so you can look back at what we’ve accomplished! If you’d like to be notified of our upcoming landscape dates, fill out this form and you’ll receive an email when we have openings.
We’re making big plans for the fall and can’t wait to share them with you! Make sure you have joined our mailing list to receive a notice of our upcoming opportunities. You’ll want to be the first to grab a ticket before they’re sold out!
