One of our very favorite things that we do is getting our crew together for our landscape installation projects. This is our moment to put all of our knowledge and experience into action to bring someone’s dream landscape to life! We love everything about the hard work, the tools and equipment, and, of course, playing with all the plants! But there is more to installing plants than just plopping a plant in the ground. Creating a healthy and sustainable landscape that will serve our client for years to come starts long before installation day. It starts from a well-developed and planned landscape design. 1. The Client Relationship. Fawn Renae Designs fosters a relationship with each client from the very beginning. Fawn and her team get to know each client individually so, as they’re designing, they can envision the client utilizing the space to its maximum ability. Once the custom design is complete, it is then up to the client to decide how to bring their design to life; install it themselves or hire Those Plant Ladies. If we install the design, Fawn is present every step of the way to execute her vision just as intended. Sometimes last minute substitutions or changes are necessary, but Fawn is able to bring her relationship and experience with the client to ensure any changes will still result in a very happy client.
2. A Beautiful + Functional Landscape. The team at Fawn Renae Designs has extensive professional experience in landscape maintenance that allows them to design landscapes that are both beautiful and functional. A truly great landscape design not only looks great but is functional and practical. Fawn and her team know which plants will perform well, which plants are troublesome, which plants are high maintenance, and which plants are landscape superstars. They also understand how to maneuver in a landscape. A good design ensures that a mower can access the areas that will be mowed and that drought-sensitive plants aren’t installed where there’s no hose. 3. The Plant Selection. Fawn and her team members know plants. It’s important to plan ahead when choosing plants for a landscape. A good landscape designer will be able to envision what the landscape will look like 5-10 years after installation. They will choose plants that will not outgrow the site and will lay them out with plenty of space to mature. We never want to place a 6′ plant in front of a window, even if when we install it its only 1.5′ tall. Fawn Renae Designs thinks longterm. The FRD team selects the right plants that benefit the ecosystem and will thrive in the light, soil, and climate of the site. With the millions of different varieties of plants out there, selecting the right one that offers the right color, texture, and style can make any ordinary home, extraordinary.
