Have you heard the news about the #TPLGREENHOUSE project?! We’ve been chatting a lot about dreams and goals and plans for 2021. Being the visionary and ultimate in all things creative for TPL, Heather guides us. She’s always filled with so many dreams, visions, and ideas… and sometimes we can barely keep up! This one in particular has been one that’s been brewing in her mind for the last five years just collecting ideas & dreaming of how to utilize the space.
From Heather:
I need a space to escape and be inspired. I have always had a dream about building a greenhouse, so why not build one now in the backyard?! One night, I woke up from a vivid dream (remember last time this happened?). It was like God knew I wouldn’t listen while I was awake (multitasking is hard!), so He had to give me a vision while I was still and most quiet.
I dreamed that this greenhouse would be in my backyard and serve as a place where we can create tutorial videos, grow our own plant babies, try new things, be inspired, and so much more. In my dream, it would be the place where our team and community could come and dream alongside of us. Like, can we have a table for dinners and maybe an outside place for a firepit too? How about string lights for summer garden parties?
Here’s some inspiration that Heather has curated for the #TPLGREENHOUSE:
The Materials:
We love the idea of using reclaimed materials from old job sites or repurposing materials that would’ve been likely thrown away. We know we’ll need more help designing the layout for this project and also piecing together the materials in a blueprint. We’re excited to be teaming up with other small businesses to help us pull this vision together. So far, we’re utilizing landscape & exteriors design from Fawn Renae Designs. She’ll be giving us a digital transformation so that we have a master plan as we proceed with each step of this project and we’ll show you this process from start to finish!
Buddy Halbert of Halbert Construction is lending in a hand to draw up a blueprint and create a materials list for us.
We’ve had so many others in our community reach out and offer supplies that we could put towards this project. The goal is to get this baby started early February. If you want to come learn how to design, build, and enjoy this piece of our heart, we would 𝓵𝓸𝓿𝓮 to have you. Send an email to info@thoseplantladies.com or comment on social media.
Do you want to build one of these for your own home or do you want to follow along on every step of the process? We’re planning to document this entire project from start to finish so check back often for updates. We’re excited to be interviewing Kerri of Bloom Greenhouse in Oklahoma (are you drooling over her greenhouse yet?) to get all of the deets.
